Digital Score – Intention Statement

Please write freely about your process of making this digital score. These questions ask you to think about the various elements that are combined in the digital score through which musical ideas are communicated to another musician.

What features and materials did you use to create/ construct this digital score? For example, did you use pre-recorded elements, dynamic media, generative algorithms, specialization, visual materials, sensors or gestural controllers, interactivity or other materials? If so, why, what do you intend them to do, or mean when performed/ realised
what are the forms, journeys and/or experiences you have embedded into your digital score? What is the music-world that you are setting up for the performing musician(s)? what are the systems and structures that you put in place for the musician to navigate through this world? Please explain.
consider the level of digital musicianship that will be needed from performers of your digital score. Are you employing additional digital skills beyond normal musicianship in order to make your digital score? Provide your insight for how you plan to advance your or performers’ digital skills if needed. How do you anticipate these will contribute to performers’ creativity, knowledge and perception while they are learning how to interpret your digital score?
what transformative experience do you envisage your digital will provide for the musician(s)? Could the musicians have innovative and new music experiences as a result of engaging with your digital score?
